Leopard Gecko Temperature
Leopard Gecko Temperature - How Hot the Vivarium Should Be

Most owners try to set their vivarium up to have a "warm end" and a "cool end". The important part is that the "warm end" (where your gecko will
go to warm up) is between 86 and 90 degress Fahrenheit (30 to 32 degrees Celsius). The cooler end is fine being around room temperature.
Make sure the cool end temperature is kept above at least 72-73 degrees Fahrenheit (22 degrees Celsius).
Leopard Gecko Heating - How to heat your Vivarium

Heat mats / heat pads are best for Leopard Geckos. Heat lamps don't work as well. In the wild, geckos sit on rocks to warm themselves from the heat of the rocks. It's the
same idea with heat mats / heat pads. You will also need a thermostat unit to control switching your heat mat on and off - this is important because otherwise, your vivarium could become far too hot for your gecko.
It's a good idea to place a hide on the heat mat area - that way your Leopard Gecko can keep warm whilst in his or her hide. If your Vivarium is big enough, it's also a good
idea to place a second hide (a dry hide) somewhere towards the cool end. This again gives your Gecko somewhere to hide but without the heat source, when they are already warm enough. This isn't essential but
is a good idea. This is as well as having a humid hide for your gecko to use when shedding (also best placed at the cool end of your vivarium).
